instrumentals recorded between 2016 and 2017 at Fort Rungius in Berlin. vocals recorded in October and November 2017 at Patchworx in Berlin. mixed & mastered by Tom Schmidt at Fort Rungius.
About the recording…
All songs for Abolitionist were recorded in the wake of the “ghost of the timeless void” recording session. there were some slight changes in the mix and master but the sound is very close to that of the LP.
About the release…
The songs on “Abolitionist” somehow didn’t made it to the LP. when we sat down and talked about the track list for “ghosts” these 4 didnt fit with the rest. they were supposed to be going on 2 split releases but both of them fell through and so we decided to put them one a one sided LP. we pressed 300 records with 100 black copies, 100 white copies and 100 clear copies and each color got a seperate B-side screenprint. The CD version included our songs from the Split LP with King Apathy and the split 7″ with Depravation as they hadnt been released on CD at this point.

all instrumentals for furnace have been recorded throughout 2016 at Fort Rungius, Berlin. Vocals were recorded in early 2017 at la casa bomba grande, Biesdorf. mixed and mastered at Fort Rungius in February 2017.
About the recording…
Like usually these songs were recorded over a longer period with a stretch of nearly a year between the first recorded and the last recorded song. for the vocals, we all met up at Stefan’s place in the outskirts of Berlin, had BBQ and got terribly drunk and recorded them the next morning. it was a fun night.
About the artwork…
the artwork was originally supposed to be the cover for our Moloch LP but was then put aside. when I showed the boys the cover they all really liked it and asked me why we didn’t use it for Moloch in the first place.

probably recorded a half year after the first demo around at the end of 2012. Recordings done at Tower of Doom with the help of M. and Paul Bliss. Mixed by Tom Schmidt at Tower of Doom and mastered by the Interface
About the recording…
My recording equipment in the first 2 years was pretty much a broken laptop and the cheapest interface I could score (I still use it by the way) and so guitar tracks had to be bounced and there was little room for later editing. So for our second release, I moved over to my flatmate’s room where he and my future flatmate M. helped me record the guitars. My then Flatmate Paul Bliss of Henry Fonda helped me with the guitar tone and I think the recording was done in a few hours. For the vocals, Torsten and I were recording them in my old room which was so small that only we could fit in.I think Ben John of Afterlife Kids / Henry Fonda later mastered the whole thing.
About the release…
This one was never planned, as was everything after the first demo. I don’t think many people liked the first demo or understood what we were doing but Torsten and I definitely got hungry and wanted to do more. “the humane condition” for me was the foundation for everything that followed as it moved away from the sound of the first demo. this particular release also caught Stefan Vendettas attention and he would later offer us a deal with Vendetta. this tape version tough was released by Dark Omen Records which was run by our dear Jonas who sings in Depravation, with whom we later did a split with and played a few shows together. he later sold it and its now called Black Omega Recordings and took part in releasing the split with Depravation.

instruments recorded at the Mega Unicorn House, Berlin sometime in 2010. vocals recorded at Scherer8 by Matti sometime in 2011/2012. I don’t even know if there was a mix or a master done in the first place.
About the recording…
I remember I had bought a second-hand laptop with a shitty processor that was not in the best shape. At some point, the screen was held together by duct tape and had to be leaned against something so it wouldn’t fall off. Also, I had to cool it during recording sessions with frozen food so it wouldn’t overheat and blackout on me. I used to live in a tiny room in a huge shared flat and this is where it all began.
I had done home recording stuff in the past but at this point, I hadn’t done anything in a few years, so after finding out about this new line of software drum-computers, I started getting back into the game and somehow ended up recording both songs of the first demo in one nightly session. after that nothing happened for more than a year and when I moved to a new place I found these old recordings and decided that it would be really cool to have someone sing on them. I asked around for a while till I approached Torsten whom I knew from DIY shows in Berlin and his straight-edge zine and asked him if he wanted to sing. he said yes and recorded his vocals at his rehearsal space at Scherer8 a while later. I then added it to the mixdown and that was it.
